    Don't be mistaken by the sign, they don't only serve cakes and pastries...they serve food. And not just any kind of food, THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD EVER.  I got a chicken tamale because Maria said it's what their known for, on top of a Chile verde burrito. Omg. She was not lying.  The tamales are so fresh and moist. I hate when I open up the wrapper to find dry, overcooked tamales. Or simply something that looked like it was cooked a week ago and was frozen, gross.

    Maria was so sweet, recommending different options to try.

    Don't judge a book by its cover.
    Doris's panaderia is a secret gem in Camarillo. Don't be fooled by its appearance. The staff is very friendly and generous. They offer a wide variety of cuisine for a bakery.  Their tamales are the best I have ever tasted!! My wife is addicted to their breakfast burritos, as am I. The assorted pastries are good but the cakes created here are superior! Made with love and 25 years of experience by the owner. At your next party order your cake here. You will save some money and everyone will ask you where you got it.
    Buy your tamales early as they run out every day.
    A dozen is only $20
    I am so happy I decided to stop in and discover this hidden treasure.

    Very yummy cheese tamales!!!  And love their spicy red side sauce.  Can't wait to go back!  Also everyone is super nice there !!

    Went in early in the morning and had to wait a good 3-4 minutes for service - not a good start.

    When someone did come from the back I received attitude and a general feeling that I wasn't welcome in the establishment.

    The female who served me had a complete lack of manners and gave me attitude when I asked her to clarify a menu item.

    She then proceeded to get my order wrong which when I corrected her I was given more attitude.

    Can't say I am in any great rush to go back.
